Temple University’s dental school, in partnership with the Tamaqua Area Community Partnership, located a site on Center Street for a proposed rural dentistry campus, which is set to open for students in time for the Fall 2026 semester.

The drugstore chain still lists four Pennsylvania locations on its website, but it appears the last Keystone State Rite Aid actually closed in August.

Rite Aid is undergoing its second bankruptcy process since 2023, but this one seems likely to spell the end of the struggling Philadelphia-based pharmacy chain. What will that mean for customers?
