We got several letters after Alice Furlaud's commentary about a landowner's plan to build a huge house in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Locals say the home would spoil a view painted by Edward Hopper.
Listener Cingen Fissel(ph) of Brooklyn, New York writes: The people of Truro, Massachusetts have almost 300 years since the towns and corporation to adapt land use laws and zoning regulations that reflect their will. If they have not, as Alice Furlaud seems to suggest, perhaps the construction of a trophy house and well-known landscape will inspire them to do so.
