Polk Township banned solar farms in half of the township, but some residents say supervisors haven’t done enough to protect agricultural land. Township officials disagree saying the ordinance could impact a multi-municipal partnership in Monroe County.

Polk Township’s Board of Supervisors pulled the plug on Samsung’s controversial 472-acre solar project on Tuesday night.

At a public meeting Tuesday, over a hundred residents questioned Samsung's plans for a solar farm that they said are confusing and poorly researched.
