Starting Sunday night, Jews across the region will light the first candle on their menorahs to welcome the Festival of Lights. There also will be a range of Hanukkah-themed activities around the region, starting today.

Elinor Bitton Bariach, whose family survived the October 7th terrorist attacks in Israel by hiding in the safe room of their home for 22 hours, shared her story at the Friedman JCC in Kingston Monday night.
