The days leading up to the nation’s 250th birthday will feature hot dogs, high temperatures and humidity. The temperature in Northeast and Northcentral Pennsylvania could reach 100 degrees by Thursday. The humidity will make it feel even hotter.

Hurricanes Helene and Milton caused the cancellation of hundreds of blood drives, making a national shortage possible. The local Red Cross chapter is urging people to donate blood and help secure the national blood supply.
