A renovation project will improve life for the lobby cats at the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter in South Abington Twp. and make operations easier for staff. The cats will soon move into a new habitat. The project is in collaboration with Leadership Lackawanna’s Core Program Class of 2025.

Once overgrown, the Shady Lane Cemetery's Clover section includes unmarked graves of babies and toddlers. Volunteers now maintain the cemetery in Lackawanna County.
