School directors voted 5-4 to approve a separation agreement and a mutual general release agreement between Southern Lehigh School District and now-former Superintendent Michael Mahon.

School Director Emily Gehman, who was removed from her role as board president, had been critical of Michael Mahon prior to superintendent being placed on administrative leave. Mahon formerly led the Abington Heights district.
