Delaware Valley School District

According to the Center for Rural Pennsylvania, nearly half of the state’s rural counties do not have hospitals with labor and delivery units. This reflects a nationwide trend of hospitals closing specialized service lines such as obstetrics.

Jake Lang, an all-star wrestler from Delaware Valley High School, faces criminal charges in Minnesota and Washington, D.C. He led an anti-Muslim rally Saturday in New York City.

The center for students in the Delaware Valley, Wallenpaupack Area, Wayne Highlands and Western Wayne school districts also would offer adult education. Area leaders say the center would have a major impact on the local workforce.
