Luzerne Borough

An early morning house fire Wednesday in Shavertown, Kingston Twp., left one man dead and two other people hospitalized. It also marked the third fatal residential blaze in Luzerne County in less than a week.

Connor Vest, 15, died in a Saturday morning fire at his family's home in Luzerne Borough. Three relatives were taken to area trauma centers for treatment. Two fundraisers are underway for the family.
