The Scranton Area Community Foundation held a ribbon cutting and opening ceremony for its new headquarters at the historic Century Club in the city. The Scranton family helped form both organizations.

The City of Scranton and the Scranton Area Community Foundation will help fund a position to coordinate donations and distributions between different food pantries and food banks. That future employee will work for the Food Policy Council of Lackawanna County.
