The Pennsylvania Department of State says 31 Luzerne County voters received two mail-in ballots for the Nov. 4 election because the county produced duplicate mailing labels.

The state system that tracks voter registrations mistakenly produced two mail-in ballots for 31 Luzerne County voters, but the extras were immediately cancelled, the county announced Tuesday.

Luzerne County officials said the State Unified Registry of Electors produced two ballots for 31 county voters for reasons that remain unclear, but the county cancelled the extra ballots immediately.
