The Keystone College Environmental Education Institute is hosting a Wilderness and Remote First Aid class.
The class, presented by Sandcut Outdoors, is designed for giving care when access to EMS is greater than 30 minutes. Participants will learn the fundamentals of wilderness medicine through a combination of lectures and hands-on, skills-based scenarios.
The class will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, and Sunday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. An Adult CPR/AED class will be offered on Friday, Feb. 24, from 5 pm to 8:30 p.m. The CPR/AED certification is a prerequisite for the Wilderness and Remote First Aid class.
The courses will be at the Keystone College Environmental Education Institute at One College Green, La Plume.
