Honesdale borough received $311,000 to improve pedestrian safety and river trail connectivity on 12th Street between Church and Main Streets.
The funding is from the Commonwealth Finance Authority.
The project will involve installing a sidewalk and bike lane on 12th Street between Church and Main Streets. Street scaping will be done and signs updated.
The traffic pattern on 12th street will be changed to a one way, ADA accessibility will be added as well as four crosswalks. The street and parking area will be relined.
The upgrades are part of the downtown Honesdale revitalization project.
