State Police have been searching the property in Noxen since Thursday.

State police have spent the last two days searching a property in Wyoming County.

Troopers observed Friday as an excavator dug into the ground behind a white building on the property of Simon’s Auto Parts on Route 29 in Noxen.

State police could not say what they were looking for on the property.

“We’re just conducting a criminal investigation,” Trooper William J. Evans III said at the scene. “Right now we don’t plan on releasing any other information.”

Evans said law enforcement had been investigating Simon’s Auto Parts since Thursday. He said there is no threat to the public and advised those in the area to stay clear of the scene.
