Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources on Monday announced an estimated $82 million investment in new state funding for more than 295 recreation and conservation projects across the state, including about $10 million for Northeast and Northcentral Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania will invest $8 million into upgrading bathroom facilities at Lackawanna and Ricketts Glen state parks.

The Recovery in Nature initiative encourages Pennsylvanians, especially those living with substance use disorder, to get outside and take advantage of the healing power of nature during National Recovery Month.

Sixty-eight state parks will have menstrual product dispensers, including 15 in northeast and north-central Pennsylvania.
