After a preliminary hearing, Magisterial District Judge Randy Schmalzle ruled a prosecutor produced enough evidence to send crack cocaine possession and drunken driving charges against Kevin Zelna to Pike County court for further action. Dykstra is charged with possession of the same crack cocaine.

Pa. state troopers charged former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Lenny Dykstra with having suspected crack cocaine or methamphetamine during a traffic stop New Year's Eve. A separate arrest warrant for Kevin Zelna, the man driving Dykstra around, says the former ballplayer told police Zelna put the drugs in his wallet.

Former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Lenny Dykstra was a passenger in a car stopped for a motor vehicle violation in Pike County. State police say he was in possession of narcotics, but did not publicly name the narcotic. His lawyer has issued a response to the incident.
