A passing tractor-trailer killed a state trooper inspecting another tractor-trailer Wednesday morning along Interstate 81 south in Schuylkill County, according to state police.
The accident occurred about 7 a.m. not far from exit 119 in Cass Township.
The trooper was not immediately identified. The passing tractor-trailer caught fire. Its driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
