Lackawanna County wastewater treatment plant takes a proactive approach to 'forever chemicals'
The Lackawanna River Basin Sewer Authority is monitoring forever chemicals in the waste at its facilities in Lackawanna County. They’re doing this voluntarily - leaders say no regulations have been put in place by environmental agencies. The tests are to prepare the facility for any state or federal requirements.
