The Pennsylvania Department of Health has launched a new online measles dashboard, allowing the public to track cases by county as the statewide total surpasses 100. There are no cases in Northeast Pennsylvania, but there are seven cases between two counties in Northcentral Pennsylvania.

Measles was declared eliminated in the United States in 2000, but the country is about to lose that designation as cases and outbreaks rapidly grow. Nationally, there have been more than 1,100 cases of measles infections - with 12 cases here in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has reported 12 confirmed cases of measles so far in 2026 and is on track to surpass last year’s total of 16 infections.
