Midterm election

Meuser and Wallace won't debate at WVIA, but the Oct. 29 Bresnahan-Cognetti debate is set to proceed at the station with Krawczeniuk, Collins and Schertzer as panelists and Matisak as moderator.

Republican U.S. Reps. Rob Bresnahan and Ryan Mackenzie and Sen. Dave McCormick are set to speak in Dallas. Rep. Madeleine Dean, meanwhile, will join other Democrats for a parallel counter event.

Democratic congressional candidate Paige Cognetti, Scranton's mayor, proposed eight major reforms that she wants Congress to adopt if she's elected.
