State Treasurer Stacy Garrity, the Republican Party’s endorsed challenger to Gov. Josh Shapiro in this year’s election, suggested Monday that Pennsylvania’s rural communities would be good locations for new data centers built to power artificial intelligence technologies.

ICE took restaurant owner Nasario Damian Contreras, a native of Mexico, into custody last Tuesday outside Isabella's Restaurant in Lackawanna County. Now, his family is hoping for the best.

"Nos quedamos preguntándonos a quién está apuntando ICE si incluso los ciudadanos estadounidenses no están seguros," preguntó el hombre.
